A beach ceremony that feels entirely yours.

We would love to help you celebrate on Thoddoo. Tell us what matters to you, and we will guide you through the choices, arrange the details and be there with you on the day. Whether it is just the two of you or a small group of loved ones, you will know what is planned and what it costs before you book.

from$877.50

Tourism GST included · vow renewals from $760.50

Clear prices, considered details.

You should be able to enjoy planning your ceremony rather than chase people for answers. We show every package price with tourism GST included, explain what is covered and price optional extras separately. Before you book, we send a written plan and a complete total so you can make a comfortable decision.

Here is the beach ceremony in full, with nothing waiting at the end.

How we plan your ceremony

Three steps, and you know the complete cost at the second one.

  1. Tell us what you have in mind

Share your preferred date, guest count and any ideas for the day. A rough outline is enough to start. We reply within 12 hours.

  2. Receive a complete proposal

We check availability and send an itemised quotation covering your package, chosen extras and applicable taxes. It is the same figure you can already read on this site, and nothing is added afterwards.

  3. Feel looked after on the day

Your coordinator brings the details together on Sunset Beach, introduces you to the celebrant and photographer, and stays close if you need anything. Your job is simply to be present.

We work in English and Dhivehi. Card payment on this site is not available yet, so once you approve the quotation we send payment instructions and confirm your booking in writing. We would rather tell you that plainly than show you a checkout that does not exist.

Good to know before you book

A meaningful ceremony, without legal registration

Visitors cannot legally register a marriage in the Maldives, regardless of religion, so every ceremony offered to visitors here is symbolic — at resorts and on local islands alike. Your certificate is a keepsake, and the legal registration is arranged at home. We would rather you read that on the first page than find it in a contract.

How symbolic ceremonies work

A plan for changing weather

Rain here is usually showery and short. We look first for a suitable time the same day and agree a plan with you by late morning. If the day cannot go ahead, we work with you to move it within your stay under our published weather policy. Nobody loses a deposit to weather.

An island with a community

Thoddoo is an inhabited island rather than a resort, with local customs and designated bikini beaches. Shoulders and knees are covered in the village and no alcohol is sold on the island. We help you prepare so you can feel comfortable and respectful throughout your visit.
